Chrome Reloading tabs when switching? Let’s Stop
Love Chrome? Me Too, It’s Fast and much advance then rest of the browsers. However, don’t you feel annoyed when you have a lot of tabs open in your browser and when switching to different tabs it starts reloading them again? For me it’s seriously very annoying that’s why I decided to write on this.
Firstly we need an answer to why. Why it does so?
Chrome is RAM hungry as we knew it. RAM is like a chocolate pie for chrome, and chromes likes eating it up. Now let’s get to the point, by default if it’s using much memory, chrome clears the contents of some background tabs from RAM to maintain the system resources.
When you get back to those tabs, it then reloads the content as they have already been erased from the memory. However, you can disable this, and we have the steps for the same:
1. Navigate to chrome://flags/#automatic-tab-discarding.
2. Set Automatic tab discarding to Disabled.
